Acerca del curso  

Los participantes aprenderán como se usa el espectro, las características de diferentes bandas de frecuencias y el progreso de las tecnologías móviles. Este curso también abarca los principios de planificación del espectro a nivel nacional e internacional, asimismo incluye el otorgamiento de licencias para el uso de frecuencias y una perspectiva general en temas regulatorios relacionados.   

Objetivos de aprendizaje:   

  • Conocer los procesos y métodos de concesión de licencias de espectro.   
  • Ponerse al tanto de las tendencias en el crecimiento del sector móvil y la demanda de datos.   
  • Poder aplicar los conceptos en su contexto nacional y como desarrollar su propia hoja de ruta para el espectro. 

Todos los participantes del curso recibirán un certificado acreditado por United Kingdom Telecommunications Academy (UKTA), una organización internacional reconocida a nivel global en la provisión de educación técnica y vocacional en el sector de telecomunicaciones. El curso será impartido en español, así como los materiales que se usaran durante el curso.

Course trainer

Carol Sosa Leguizamón
Spectrum Policy Director

As Spectrum Policy Director, Carol works with GSMA programmes, members, and internal groups to develop global industry positions on spectrum policy, allocation, licensing, and on the impact of emerging technologies.

Prior to joining the GSMA, Carol served as Technical Advisor for International Affairs at the National Spectrum Agency of Colombia (ANE) and held the vice-chair of the Preparatory Working Group for the World Radiocommunications Conference (WRC) and chair of the Spectrum Management group at CITEL. Also, she worked with the mobile industry as Wireless Product Manager and was a university lecturer.

Carol is specialized in Negotiation from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, holds a Master in Navigation and Related Applications from the Politecnico di Torino in Italy. She has a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications from the Universidad Santo Tomás of Bogotá with an exchange program at the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain, as well.

Daniela Gutierrez-Torres
Training Manager, GSMA

Daniela works on the GSMA’s Capacity Building program and manages the delivery of training content to regulators and policymakers worldwide and leads capacity building partnerships with the World Bank, ITU, among others. Before joining GSMA, Daniela worked at the LSE Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa. She designed and delivered training to African graduate students to develop leadership and critical skills and coordinated the Programme for African Leadership’s wide range of operational and developmental activities.

Daniela holds an MSc in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and an MA in Theory and Practice of Human Rights from the University of Essex. Her interests and expertise lie at the intersection between social innovation, economic and social rights, and social development.
