Join us for a free, invitation-only, in-person training session on “Climate Change and the Mobile Industry”. Available exclusively for Policymakers and Regulators, the one-day course will run at the Westin Josun Hotel in Seoul, on Monday 30 September, before M360 APAC and the Policy Leaders Forum

George Kamiya
Senior Manager, Climate Action, GSMA

George is the Senior Manager of Climate Action at the GSMA, the global mobile industry association, providing strategic advice and analysis on energy, climate, and circular economy to support the mobile industry’s transition to Net Zero by 2050.

He previously led the International Energy Agency’s (IEA/OECD) analysis on the energy and climate impacts of digitalization, as well as on modelling and policy analysis of other emerging energy transition topics including critical minerals, cybersecurity, and new mobility services. George coordinated major cross-agency projects on Digitalization & Energy (2017) and Tracking Clean Energy Progress (2019-2021) and contributed to flagship publications including multiple editions of the World Energy Outlook, Energy Technology Perspectives, and World Energy Investment.

Steven Moore
Head of Climate, GSMA

Steven Moore is responsible for Climate Action at the GSMA, the mobile industry association.

His role is to provide leadership to support and accelerate the industry transition to Net Zero by 2050. The success of the programme has led to the mobile industry being recognised by the UN as the first breakthrough sector in the Race to Zero and the GSMA as a UN Race to Zero Accelerator.

Steven chairs the GSMA Climate Action Taskforce, which has more than 60 mobile operator members globally. He works with the industry on climate policy, strategy and research covering energy efficiency, renewables, supply chain engagement, connectivity to reduce emissions, and climate adaptation and resilience.

Steven holds an MSc in Environmental Technology and is an experienced environmental professional having worked on climate action for the past 15 years, at BT, as a consultant at Deloitte, and for the innovative start-up, dcarbon8.
